Who we are
We are the Digital Hub. We serve the Foundation Group that is made up of George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust, South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust, Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust and Wye Valley NHS Trust. We aim to share developments, ideas and our successful projects across the Group for the wider benefit of everyone.
We work in partnership with SCC, Europe’s biggest independent IT solutions provider.
On a day-to-day basis, we are managed by Innovate Healthcare Services.
What we do
We work with clinical and operational staff across the Foundation Group to find new technology that helps solve day-to-day healthcare challenges and enhances patient care.
How it all began
Our Digital Hub is a partnership between SWFT (on behalf of the Foundation Group) and SCC. It was created by Andy Laverick, Foundation Group Strategic Digital Advisor, and Dan Cartter, Director of Innovation at SCC. The Hub was launched in December 2020 in Stratford Hospital, in Stratford-upon-Avon, in a space specifically designed to foster innovation and equipped with state-of-the-art technology. The initial idea was to bring together the healthcare system, industry and academia to create an ecosystem of innovation, to enhance patient outcomes and to find practical solutions to problems and challenges faced by clinicians day-to-day.
